This is the type of book that explores the depths of the human psyche and shows us the resilience of the human spirit demonstrating that though mental illness can be devastating hope is never lost.
The novel follows his journey deeper into his schizophrenia. With smooth but powerful prose delivered in Starrs natural emphatic voice finely nuanced characters and intricate and realistic relationship dynamics this novel will have readers rooting for Starr and opening their hearts to her friends and family. Since Caden is mentally ill these narratives make sense.
